Hezbollah announced that its fighters lured forces from the Israeli occupation army into an elaborate ambush on the southern outskirts of the city of Khiam, during the ongoing clashes in the area at dawn on Tuesday.

The party explained in a statement that its forces carried out the ambush while the Israeli forces were trying to withdraw their dead from the battlefield, as the force was targeted with appropriate weapons upon its arrival at the ambush site.
The statement indicated that the attack resulted in a direct hit on a Merkava tank, the third to be targeted during the ongoing clash, stressing that the tank was seen burning in its location.
Earlier, Hezbollah announced that its fighters repelled, at dawn today, Tuesday, March 10, 2026, an advance attempt carried out by Israeli army forces on the southern outskirts of Khiam City in the vicinity of the detention center.
The party explained in a statement that the clashes resulted in two Merkava tanks being directly hit, noting that one of them was seen burning in its location.
The statement added that the party’s fighters targeted the Israeli evacuation forces with appropriate weapons while they were trying to withdraw the two tanks, amid clashes that they described as “fierce” with the advancing Israeli force.
