The girl told the investigating authorities that the accused waited for her on the Baron Bridge while she was going to work and said indecent words towards her.

She said: What happened a week ago when I was on the ferry on the Baron Bridge on my way to work at about 8:30 a.m., a person I didn’t know stopped me and said, “What is your name and where are you going?” So I asked him, “Who are you?” He said, “He works here and wants to get to know me.” My response to him was, “Please, don’t talk to me again,” and I left him and continued on my way to work.

The girl continued: The second day, while I was contagious from the same place and at approximately the same time, the same person was there, and another person was with him, and he was saying to this person in a loud voice: Look at the girl coming, see what she looks like, so I stood up and said to him, Are you talking about me? He responded to me and said, “Oh,” and he uttered something insulting to public modesty, and he stabbed me with a brick while holding an iron skewer.

The girl continued in her statements before the investigating authorities: I went out to run after he insulted me, and I went to work and changed my route until the week ended, because I was afraid that he would attack me again.

The girl continued her statement: On Sunday, while I was riding the bus, I was surprised by him in front of me, looking and laughing, and he took out his phone and put it on his side, talking to someone his friend said to him: Do you remember the girl I told you about who had an earring on her face? She was going to get off at Zahraa El Maadi station. Wait for me there to break her face. I was terrified and screamed loudly and said, “A thief so that people will catch him.” When they said that no one had done anything to you, I told them the whole story about what happened last week, and when none of them helped me, I went and got out the phone and took a photo so that when I made a report, his picture would be there and they would know how to answer it.

The competent investigating authorities had previously decided to release the accused on a bail of 1,000 pounds pending investigations.
