The security services at the Ministry of Interior revealed the circumstances of a video clip circulated on social media, which included a taxi colliding with two motorcycles and its driver fleeing in Gharbia.
A taxi driver was arrested for colliding with two motorcycles and fleeing in Gharbia
Upon examination, it was revealed that on March 4 of this year, the First Tanta Police Department was informed by (a motorcycle driver – resident in the department’s department, “suffering from various bruises and abrasions”) that while he was riding his motorcycle and walking in the department’s department, a “taxi” – shown in the video clip – suddenly swerved towards him, which led to him falling to the ground, sustaining injury, and causing damage to his bike, and its driver fled.
It was possible to identify and seize the car shown in the video clip, “with a valid license,” and its driver at the time of the incident, a driver – a resident of the department’s department.
When he was confronted, he admitted that a verbal altercation had occurred between him and the injured person due to a dispute between them over priority of passage, so he committed the incident as referred to intentionally, colliding with him and another bike that happened to be passing by the accident site. He explained his escape as a fear of accountability, and the car was impounded and legal measures were taken.
