The first Egyptian men’s national team prepares for football hand To participate in the African Cup of Nations, hosted by Rwanda from January 21 to 31, as part of the preparation plan to compete for the continental title.
Handball team matches in the African Nations competitions in Rwanda
The Egyptian handball team will compete in the first round in the second group, which includes the teams of Angola, Gabon and Uganda.
- Egypt vs. Gabon national team on January 21 at 12:30 noon
- Egypt vs. Angola national team on January 22 at five o’clock in the evening
- Egypt vs. Uganda national team on January 24 at three in the afternoon.
Egypt national team camp in Spain
As part of the preparations, the national team will enter a closed camp at the Dr. Hassan Mustafa Hall Complex in 6th of October City, before traveling on January 1 to Spain to participate in the Spanish International Friendly Championship, which is an important stop within the preparation program for the 2026 African Nations Championship.
The Spanish International Championship will witness the participation of 6 teams, as the second group includes the teams of Egypt, Portugal and Iran, while the first group includes the teams of Tunisia, Spain and Slovakia.
The Egyptian national team begins its matches against Portugal on January 8, then meets the Iranian national team on January 10, with the position-determining matches being held on January 11.
