published Official Gazette Ministry of Interior Decision No. 373 of 2026 depriving Amani Abdel Rahim Farshishi (Tunisian nationality), born in Tunisia on 2/14/1992, from acquiring Egyptian nationality as a dependent on her husband.
The Interior Ministry decides to deprive a Tunisian woman of acquiring Egyptian citizenship
The decision came after reviewing the Constitution, Law No. 26 of 1975 regarding Egyptian citizenship, and Ministerial Resolution No. 1004 of 2018 delegating the Assistant Minister to the Affairs Sector of the Minister’s Office to exercise the powers of the Minister of the Interior in this regard.
The first article of the decision stipulated that the aforementioned be deprived of acquiring Egyptian citizenship in implementation of the text of Article Seven of the Nationality Law, for security reasons, while the second article stipulated that the decision be published in the Egyptian Gazette.
