Kyle Walker said in an emotional video he posted on Instagram: After more than a decade of representing my country, I have decided to retire from international football. Playing for the England national team has always been a great honor in my career, and I will always be proud of it.

He added: Many thanks to every colleague, coach, and administrator, and to everyone who contributed to this journey, and to everyone who was behind the scenes. Every cheer from the fans was a strong motivation for the team, and I look forward to joining them to encourage the players in the World Cup.

Walker concluded: The memories of wearing the England shirt will remain engraved in my memory forever, and I would also like to thank my family for supporting me at every step. They made this trip even more special, and I will always be grateful to have shared it with them.

Kyle Walker’s career with the England national team

Kyle Walker represented the England national team in 96 previous matches, scoring one goal and in return making 10 goals, and received 11 yellow cards and one red card.
