The village of Kafr Ibnhas, affiliated with the Quesna Center in Menoufia Governorate, recently witnessed an incident of suspected food poisoning, after 4 siblings fell ill suddenly after eating rusk from one of the bakeries in the village.
Major General Alaa Al-Jahir, Director of Menoufia Security, received a notification from Brigadier General Nabil Muslim, Chief of the Quesna Police Station, stating that the children were suffering from suspected cases of food poisoning, and that they were showing symptoms of illness.
Upon transfer and examination, it was found that the children suffered from vomiting and abdominal pain after eating rusk from one of the bakeries in the village. They were taken to the hospital to receive the necessary aid. The cases were treated medically and placed under observation.
A source confirmed that the children’s condition is simple, and they are being transferred to the toxicology department at the university hospital, to determine the precise cause of the poisoning and complete the necessary medical procedures, while a report has been drawn up on the incident and the investigation authorities have been notified to initiate investigations into the incident.
