President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, honored Mohamed Kamel, the winner of first place in the Al-Majood branch within the State of Recitation Program competition, during the Laylat Al-Qadr celebration that was held at Al-Manara International Conference Center.
The competition witnessed strong competition among a number of distinguished young reciters, as the final list in the Tajweed section included Muhammad Al-Qalaji, Muhammad Kamel, and Ahmed Muhammad Ali, who presented distinguished Qur’anic recitations according to the rules of intonation and the principles of reading.
This competition comes within the framework of the state’s efforts to support memorizers of the Holy Qur’an, encourage young talents in the field of recitation, and consolidate religious and spiritual values in society.
State of Recitation Program Competition
Earlier, Osama Al-Azhari, Minister of Endowments, said that the activities of the State of Recitation program were impressive.
He added during a press conference to reveal the details of the ceremony honoring the contestants of the State of Recitation: “After a hot, luminous, and escalating competition between the golden throats in this great event, I confirm that this event, in which we were among the organizers, through which we discovered genius Egyptian throats that delighted the ears and consciences of the Egyptians.”
He added: “The Egyptian family gathered on Friday and Saturday to hear these golden throats, to confirm that the land of Egypt is a breeding ground for golden throats.”
