The African Handball Confederation decided to hold the African Super Cup match for women’s football hand From one match between Al-Ahly and Petro Atletico, on June 2, 2026 in the city of Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Sources within the federation revealed that the date of the African Super Cup and the African Cup Winners’ Cup has been postponed by a week, so that the two events will be held during the period from 1 to 14 June 2026, with the Super Cup being played on June 1 and 2, followed directly by the Cup Winners’ Cup.
In a related context, the Federation decided to hold the 2026 African Super Cup for Men’s Handball between Al-Ahly and Darb Al-Sultan Forum, in light of the absence of Zamalek due to its failure to confirm its participation before the end of the deadline set for last March 28.
It is noteworthy that Al-Ahly is the title holder of the last edition of the African Super Cup and the Cup Winners’ Cup, and is the only Egyptian club whose participation in the next edition has been officially confirmed so far.
