The local unit was launched in the center and city of Dar es Salaam Governorate Sohag Intensive campaigns to remove encroachments and building violations resulted in the confiscation of quantities of timber belonging to contractors carrying out the violating works. This comes within the framework of the directives of Major General Tariq Rashid, Governor of Sohag.
Removing building violations in Sohag
The campaign was headed by Hussein Habarir, head of the center and city of Dar es Salaam, and with the participation of the deputy heads of the center and the security forces of the Dar es Salaam police station, where the wood used in the illegal works was seized during the implementation of the removal decisions.
The concerned authorities confirmed that the necessary legal measures are being taken against the violators, stressing the continuation of campaigns to monitor any infringements or building violations.
The concerned authorities also appealed to all contractors not to begin implementing any works unless they refer to them and ensure that the necessary licenses are met, to avoid legal accountability, noting that field follow-up continues around the clock.
