Within the framework of continuous coordination of efforts between the Ministries of Defense and Interior; To maintain the stable security situation in all parts of the country, especially with the approaching New Year’s celebrations and a number of religious and national occasions during the coming period.
A meeting between the Defense and the Interior to discuss ways to enhance security cooperation
Lieutenant General Abdel Majeed Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, met with Major General Mahmoud Tawfiq, Minister of Interior, in the presence of Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, commanders of the main branches, a number of commanders of the Armed Forces, leaders of the Ministry of Interior, and a number of officers in the two ministries and students of the Egyptian Military Academy and Colleges and the Police Academy.
The meeting included detailed presentations that dealt with the strategic analysis of various current events internally, regionally and internationally, and what this requires to unify concepts and methods of joint work, to achieve the highest levels of readiness that contribute to consolidating a stable security situation, protecting the nation’s borders, and preserving its sanctities.
Major General Mahmoud Tawfiq, Minister of the Interior, delivered a speech in which he saluted the armed forces for their efforts in all strategic directions of the state, stressing that continuous coordination achieves harmony in raising the level of readiness to deter anyone who dares to tamper with the security and stability of the nation.
He also pointed out that the Ministry of Interior is working hard to develop its capabilities to achieve the highest levels of security within society, and to carry out the tasks assigned to it to the fullest in light of successive threats and challenges.
Lieutenant General Abdel Majeed Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, delivered a speech in which he conveyed the greetings and appreciation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to the men of the Armed Forces and the Civil Police for their efforts in maintaining security during the last period, stressing that the Armed Forces and the Police are the wings of security and stability in confronting all challenges related to Egyptian national security, and together they will remain at the forefront of the Egyptian people defending their security and territorial integrity, setting the most wonderful examples in Sacrificing what is dear and precious to maintain security stability and create a climate; To complete the development process implemented by the Egyptian state in all fields.
In appreciation of excellence and generosity, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces honored the Minister of Defense and Military Production and the Minister of Interior by honoring a number of officers as they are honorable role models in carrying out tasks efficiently and competently.
