Yesterday, Thursday, April 9, 2026, the box office in theaters witnessed a remarkable competition between a number of films shown, amid mixed public demand, as the movie Barshama succeeded in topping the daily revenue list with a large margin over its closest competitors.According to the Film Yard website.
The movie Barshama came in first place, achieving daily revenues of 2,722,823 pounds, after selling 16,738 tickets, bringing its total revenues to 13,514,975 pounds, with a total of 87,432 tickets since it was released in theaters.

In second place was the movie EgyBest, with daily revenues of 659,733 pounds, compared to the sale of 4,210 tickets, bringing the total achieved by the film to 3,509,410 pounds, with a number of tickets amounting to 24,294 tickets.
The third place went to the movie The Thug of the Assembly, which recorded daily revenues of 560,947 pounds, through the sale of 3,448 tickets, bringing its total revenues to 11,282,612 pounds, with 72,012 tickets.

It is noteworthy that the movie “The Killer of the Assembly” was released on Eid night in all cinemas, as part of the Eid al-Fitr 2026 film season, and it stars the artist Ahmed Al-Fishawy, who embodies the character of Karim the Killer, with the participation of an elite group of artists, including Sabreen, Cynthia Khalifa, Intisar, Rana Rais, Maryam Al-Jundi, and Aya Selim, and the work is written and directed by Mohamed Salah Al-Azab in his first directorial experience, and produced by Ahmed Al-Sobki.
