Interfax reported, a short while ago, that Azerbaijan withdrew its diplomats from Iran, after an Iranian attack on the Baku march.
Iranian missiles and drones fall in Azerbaijan
Tensions escalated between Azerbaijan and Iran, on Thursday, after drones fell on the Azerbaijani enclave of Nakhichevan bordering Iran, in an incident that prompted Baku to threaten undeclared retaliatory measures, amid fears of the expansion of the war in the region.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said, during a Security Council meeting, that his country will not tolerate what he described as an unjustified terrorist and aggressive act, adding that the armed forces have received instructions to prepare and implement appropriate retaliatory measures, and that Azerbaijan is ready to show its strength against any hostile force.
