Dr. Ahmed Al-Ansari, Governor of Giza, followed up on the regularity of work in service parking lots at the neighborhood, center, and city levels from within the National Emergency and Public Safety Network in the governorate, in order to ensure compliance with the new tariff for traffic routes, which include a large number of internal and regional transportation lines, and to follow up on the regularity of vehicle movement and drivers’ adherence to the ride tariff established following the decision to move fuel prices.

The governor stressed to the heads of districts, centers, cities, and the service agency the necessity of intensifying monitoring campaigns on parking lots to ensure that drivers adhere to the specified tariff and not exploit citizens, saying: “Any driver who violates the new tariff or tries to increase the fare to citizens will have immediate action taken against him… withdrawing the route from the violating vehicle and imposing a deterrent fine.”

During the follow-up from within the control center, the governor directed the heads of neighborhoods, centers, and cities to verify citizens’ opinions about the extent of drivers’ compliance with the new tariff, stressing that legal measures would be taken against violators.

The governor also directed to ensure that posters and banners for the new tariff are hung and posted inside the parking lots in places clear to citizens and drivers, in addition to displaying the numbers of complaints and reports to report any violations. He stressed that the heads of neighborhoods, centers, cities, and the service agency should review all parking lots to ensure that the posted banners match the announced ride tariff, which includes the itinerary and the fare set according to the new increases, to prevent any attempts to increase the tariff individually or divide the itineraries.

The governor also directed the heads of districts, centers and cities to intensify monitoring campaigns on markets in cooperation with the Giza Supply Directorate to monitor the stability of the general situation of markets and prices, in addition to following up on gas depots to ensure the availability of butane cylinders for citizens.

As he made sure Governor To follow up on gas stations to ensure the availability of petroleum products and their commitment to the announced prices, stressing that the governorate’s main operations room is in session around the clock in the presence of all concerned parties, announcing the following emergency numbers to receive any reports regarding the new pricing: 33465048 / 33465046, in addition to the WhatsApp service on 01016050453.

This came in the presence of Muhammad Marai, Assistant Secretary General of the Governorate, and Mr. Wael Shaaban, Head of the Central Administration for Governor’s Office Affairs.
