Lawyer Pedro added that the procedures followed within the Disciplinary Committee were worrying; The legal representatives of Al Hilal Club were forcefully removed from the hearing, and the club was asked to replace its legal team or face exclusion, considering that what happened represented a complete cancellation of the right to defense and a transgression of all values of transparency and sporting justice.

The lawyer explained that the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) issued a decision rejecting the club’s request to take urgent temporary measures, but he stressed that this decision is only a preliminary procedural step that does not affect the essence of the appeal, stressing that the arbitration procedures are still fully continuing to decide on the legality of the participation of the player who was subject to a temporary suspension from the same committee before its controversial lifting.

The Sudanese Al Hilal Club concluded its statement by emphasizing its full commitment to the issue until the end, stressing that African football deserves institutions that implement the laws consistently and transparently to ensure respect for all parties, and pledged to do everything in its power to protect the integrity of continental competition and safeguard the club’s historical rights.
