Tariq Al-Sayed, the former Zamalek and Egyptian national team star, confirmed that Zamalek is the closest to winning the Egyptian League title this season.
Statements by Tariq Al-Sayed
Tariq Al-Sayed said, during television statements, that Zamalek players have a great spirit, describing it as “the spirit of championship,” stressing that it does not exist in other clubs.
He added that Pyramids’ performance has declined in the recent period, due to the decline in the level of player Miley, who represents one of the most important elements of strength in the team, noting that the expiration of his contract affected his level on the field.
Tariq Al-Sayed continued: “Al-Ahly’s dressing room is empty, and it is not Al-Ahly’s dressing room, and people are managing it,” adding that Zamalek disappointed some at the beginning of the season, as many expected it to leave without achieving any championship.
In another context, Tariq Al-Sayed praised Motamed Gamal, the technical director of Zamalek, after the victory over Al-Masry, stressing that he is doing a distinguished job with the team.
Tarek Al-Sayed explained that Zamalek’s loss to Enppi came at a difficult time, noting that had it not been for that loss, the team would have come very close to clinching the league title.
He concluded his statements by emphasizing that the chances of coronation are still equal between Al-Ahly, Zamalek, and Pyramids, stressing that Zamalek is “making the impossible,” despite going through a period without a technical director, and adding: “Motamed Gamal is a great worker with the team, while Ferreira is a games teacher, and contracting with him was a wrong decision, and Motamed Gamal excelled him in everything.”
