With the sudden weather fluctuations between heat and cold, Pediatric Consultant Muhammad Al-Hadidi warned that children are becoming more susceptible to colds and allergies, stressing the importance of taking simple measures for prevention and reducing the chances of illness.

Al-Hadidi explained some important precautions:

1. Choose appropriate clothing: Wear light layers that can be adjusted according to the weather during the day.

2. Warm drinks: such as anise and warm milk to warm the body and strengthen immunity, especially before bed.

3. Healthy nutrition: Focus on fruits and vegetables rich in vitamin C to strengthen immunity.

4. Avoid going out during severe fluctuations: reduce exposure to strong winds or storms unless necessary.

5. Ventilate the house moderately: Open the windows daily for a short period to freshen the air without exposing children directly to the cold air.

6. Personal hygiene: Teaching frequent hand washing to reduce transmission of infection, especially in schools.

7. Follow up on early symptoms: deal immediately with any cough, runny nose, or high fever.

8. Strengthen immunity with adequate sleep: Good sleep helps the body resist viral and climatic changes.

He pointed out that adhering to these simple daily procedures contributes greatly to protecting children from colds and allergies associated with weather fluctuations.
