Frenchman Hervé Renard, technical director of… Saudi national teamMohammed Al Owais, the goalkeeper of the Al-Ula team, which plays in the Yellow League, was summoned to join the Greens camp before the friendly match in Serbia.
The Saudi national team will leave Jeddah in order to travel to play its second friendly match against its counterpart, Serbia, as part of preparations for the 2026 World Cup.
Renard announced the list of the Saudi national team traveling to play in the friendly match with Serbia, which witnessed the summoning of Muhammad Al-Owais, and a number of Saudi national team B players were also summoned, namely Nawaf Bushell, Khalifa Al-Dosari, along with Muhammad Mahzari, Muhammad Al-Mujahid, and Abdulaziz Al-Aleiwa.
The French coach also decided to exclude Ali Lagami and Hassan Kadesh from Al-Akhdar’s list leaving to play in the friendly match against Serbia, in addition to the duo Murad Al-Hawsawi and Turki Al-Ammar, who will join the Saudi B camp.
The Saudi national team roster to face Serbia includes 27 players, including:
Nawaf Al-Aqidi, Muhammad Al-Yami, Ahmed Al-Kassar, Muhammad Al-Owais, Nawaf Bushel, Mutaib Al-Mufarrej, Khalifa Al-Dosari, Muhammad Mahzari, Abdul-Ilah Al-Omari, Rayan Hamed, Saud Abdul-Hamid, Ali Majrashi, Ayman Yahya, Salman Al-Faraj, Abdullah Al-Khaibari, Muhammad Kanno, Nayef Masoud, Muhammad Al-Mujahid, Khaled Al-Ghannam, Abdulaziz Al-Aliwa, Ziad Al-Juhani, Musab Al-Jawir, Sultan Mandash, Abdullah Al-Hamdan, Marwan Al-Sahafi, Saleh Al-Shehri, Firas Al-Braikan.
The Saudi national team’s friendly match against Serbia is scheduled to begin next Tuesday, the 31st of March, at the TSC Arena.
