Engineer Ayman Attia appointed Governor AlexandriaDistrict heads, the sanitation company, and all concerned parties have a 24-hour field presence in vital concentration areas, to follow up on rainwater drainage work and ensure traffic flow.
Attiya stressed the need for real-time follow-up by the “Governorate Operations Room and the National Network’s Control Center” and in coordination with sub-operations rooms in the neighborhoods to receive any emergency reports and deal with them immediately.
This came against the backdrop of the Meteorological Authority’s forecasts indicating that the governorate will be exposed to a wave of unstable weather and moderate rain that may be heavy and thundery at times, with noticeable wind activity reaching speeds of up to 50 km/hour.
Engineer Ayman Attia explained that the governorate is working with full capacity to overcome any challenges resulting from weather fluctuations, stressing the review of the efficiency of the shanayesh and rain outfalls, and the readiness of the lifting pumps in all hot areas and main axes, to ensure that the movement of citizens is not affected and to preserve their safety.
Raising the state of preparedness to face weather fluctuations in Alexandria
Earlier, Engineer Ayman Attia, Governor of Alexandria, announced that all executive agencies and vital sectors in the governorate had been raised in a state of readiness to confront the wave of weather fluctuations.
Alexandria Governorate called on citizens to be careful during the period of active winds and rainfall, to adhere to public safety guidelines, and to avoid walking next to billboards or dilapidated lighting poles in order to preserve lives and property.
