The Luxor Criminal Court closed the curtain on the case of the murder of a young man at the hands of his friend in the Qurna district, after a friendship that extended for 7 years between them, and ruled the death penalty by hanging for the accused.
Details of the crime and its motives
The details of the case go back to January 22, 2024, when the Qurna Police Station received a report about the killing of “Mohamed Radwan Abdullah” as a result of being shot with an automatic rifle.
Investigations revealed that the person behind the incident was his friend, “Sabri Muhammad,” who is 35 years old.
Confessions of the accused before the investigating authorities
Investigations confirmed, based on the defendant’s confessions, that there was previous activity involving both parties in drug trafficking.

The dispute between them worsened when the accused learned that the victim kept video clips that harmed his family’s honor with the aim of blackmailing him, which prompted him to resolve to get rid of him.
