The artist Somaya Al-Alfi passed away from our world inside a hospital in the Mohandiseen area, after a struggle with illness, turning a rich artistic page with her departure that spanned decades, during which she left a clear imprint on Egyptian drama and cinema.
Sumaya Al-Alfi underwent 8 surgeries due to a rare disease, and she stated that her late ex-husband, Farouk Al-Fishawy, was the one who took her for treatment abroad, and therefore she preferred to stay away from the screen since her last work in 2010.
