The security services at the Ministry of Interior were able to uncover the circumstances of a video clip that was circulated on social media, which included a woman’s claim that her husband died while he was detained at the Port Fouad Police Department in Port Said due to medical negligence.

Upon examination, it was found that these allegations were not true, and that the truth of the incident was that on 8/4/2025, the complainant’s husband was arrested as a dangerous registrant. He had previously been accused in 29 cases, most notably “theft, murder, and a knife.” He was sentenced in two theft cases to imprisonment for two years and 6 months. He had a history of illness, for attempting to rob a house in the Port Fouad Police Department and was arrested by the people. On 8/7/2025, the aforementioned person felt in a bad condition. He became exhausted and was transferred to a hospital to receive the necessary treatment, but he died.

The forensic report stated that the cause of death was advanced heart disease. It led to a severe decline in blood circulation and breathing.

Upon questioning the deceased’s wife, the “complainant,” and two of the inmates at the time, they did not accuse anyone of causing his death.

The Public Prosecution decided to close the investigations, and the aforementioned person was arrested and legal measures were taken against her for her false claim.
