US President Donald Trump referred to the meeting held yesterday by his special envoy, Steve Witkoff, and his advisor and son-in-law, Jared Kushner, with Russian President Vladimir Putin, saying: “We will see what happens,” and described the meeting as “reasonably good.”

US President Donald Trump continued, “Putin wants to end the war.”

US President Donald Trump added: “I cannot be certain about the results of the meeting, because it takes two people to dance.”

On the other hand, American media revealed the submission of a draft law requiring President Donald Trump to subject the Muslim Brotherhood to severe sanctions, including freezing assets and banning entry visas to the United States.

The American media explained that the Foreign Affairs Committee in the House of Representatives conducted a procedural review of the draft law, which stipulates the classification of the Brotherhood as a foreign terrorist organization, in a step that reflects mounting pressure on the American administration regarding this file.

The White House had previously announced that President Trump had begun the process of designating some branches of the Muslim Brotherhood as foreign terrorist organizations and Specially Designated Global Terrorists.

According to an official statement, Trump signed an executive order directing the Secretary of State and Secretary of the Treasury to study the possibility of designating some branches of the group as foreign terrorist organizations (FTOs) and Specially Designated Global Terrorists (SDGTs).

This development comes within the framework of the US administration’s efforts to confront what it describes as the group’s terrorist activities at the international level, amid expectations that the project will spark widespread controversy in political and diplomatic circles.
