I witnessed Senegalese football A painful tragedy occurred yesterday, Sunday, following a horrific traffic accident involving the ASC Jadeja team bus, which resulted in the death of the team’s goalkeeper and the injury of a number of players and members of the technical staff, with injuries described as serious.

According to what was reported by the Senegalese website AFRICALEADNEWS, the accident occurred at approximately two o’clock in the afternoon on the road leading to the city of Tampa, specifically in the Goudiri area, and the bus was transporting the team members on the return trip from the city of Kaolack towards Bakel, after they played an official match against Diamano Club last Saturday, in the third round of the final qualifiers for the second division.

Reports confirmed that the accident resulted in the death of goalkeeper Valo Die succumbing to his injuries, while the other injured players and technical staff were transferred to the Regional Hospital in Tampa to receive urgent medical care.

In light of the club’s limited capabilities, the administration sent an urgent distress call to the Ministry of Sports and the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF), demanding that the necessary support be provided to the injured and to stand by the family of the late goalkeeper, stressing the team’s urgent need for official support in confronting the effects of this painful disaster.
