The Family Court witnessed a divorce case for harm filed by a wife against her husband, because he refused to let her continue her work, despite their agreement before marriage to do so.

The wife said in her lawsuit that she has been working in a stable job for years, and was clear from the beginning about her commitment to work, but after marriage, her husband began demanding that she leave him without convincing justifications, claiming that her presence at home had become a necessity.

She added that the differences began gradually, as she was asked to reduce her working hours, and then the matter developed into a complete insistence on resigning, which caused permanent tension between them.

The wife explained that she tried to reconcile her work with the requirements of the home, and assured her husband that her work did not affect her duties, but he rejected all compromises and stuck to his position.

The court decided to refer the case to the settlement office to try to reconcile the two parties, before deciding the case.
