A cyber attack disrupted the operation of train signals in the passenger halls of Israel Railways, prompting the company to take a decision to temporarily halt operations completely, according to the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth.
Hebrew reports pointed out that the Israeli Railways Company explained in its report issued this evening on the incident that the accident occurred at only two stations, and was considered an isolated incident, after train traffic stopped.
In a related context, the New York Times quoted three informed sources, on Wednesday, that officials in the US Defense Department (Pentagon) informed members of Congress in a closed briefing session, on Tuesday, that their estimates indicate that the cost of the war on Iran exceeded $11.3 billion in the first six days alone.
The newspaper added that the number overlooked many of the costs associated with the operation, such as the mobilization of military equipment and personnel before the attacks began, and that is why lawmakers expect the total number to rise significantly as the Pentagon continues to count the costs that accumulated in the first week only.
