Representative Alaa El-Din Fouad, representative of the committee, said Legislative In the House of Representatives, the Local Administration Law is one of the important laws that affects the Arab Republic of Egypt and all its centers and villages in it.
Fouad confirmed during the meeting of the Local Administration Committee to discuss the draft local administration law submitted by the government that the members of the House of Representatives did not devote themselves to carrying out their role due to the lack of local councils.
Alaa Fouad: A community dialogue must be held about the local administration law so that the legislation is compatible with the new republic
He added that the local councils have not existed for nearly 15 years, which has placed a huge burden on the representatives of Parliament, and that the representative is no longer able to devote himself full-time to performing the oversight and legislative role, stressing that the local administration law is one of the important laws that must be discussed over a long period by holding a community dialogue about it so that all opinions are heard, and we are faced with a draft law that achieves everyone’s ambitions.
He pointed out that there are several changes that have occurred in the government law, which must be taken into account, including the presence of deputy governors, who favor the unified finance law, which requires discussing the law in a light consistent with the constitution and the law, when the legislation is in line with the new republic.
