The local unit of the center and city of Juhayna, in coordination with the Supply Directorate and the Supply Investigation Department in Sohag, launched an intensive ration campaign, which resulted in the seizure of large quantities of ration sugar that is prohibited from being traded outside the official system.

6 tons of rationing sugar, banned from being traded, were seized in Juhayna in Sohag

The campaign was headed by Amer Adam, head of the Juhayna Center and City, in the presence of Mohamed Ibrahim, Undersecretary of the Supply Directorate in Sohag, and with the participation of the leaders of the Supply Administration in Juhayna. The campaign was able to seize about 6 tons of rationed sugar that is prohibited from being sold in duty-free markets.

It turned out that the seized quantity was loaded onto a semi-truck in violation of the laws and decisions regulating the trading of food supplies, in an attempt to resell it outside legitimate channels to achieve illegal profits.

Immediately, the seized items and the car were seized at the Juhayna Police Station office, and the necessary legal measures were taken regarding the incident, with the quantity beginning to be deposited in the warehouses of the Egyptian Wholesale Trade Company, until the Public Prosecution acted.

The head of the center confirmed the continuation of intensive ration campaigns on markets and shops, to control violations and confront attempts to monopolize subsidized goods, in a way that ensures that support reaches those who deserve it and protects the rights of citizens.

This was within the framework of the directives of Major General Tariq Rashid, Governor of Sohag, to intensify oversight of markets and confront all forms of monopoly and manipulation of subsidized goods.
