The Supply Directorate in the governorate launched QalyubiaAn amplified campaign within the scope of the Qanater Charity Center, headed by the Directorate’s Internal Trade Department, in implementation of instructions issued by Dr. Tamer Salah Mukhtar, Undersecretary of the Ministry, to target unlicensed commercial activities and combat goods of unknown origin.

3 tons of cooking oil of unknown origin were seized in Qanater al-Khairiya

The campaign resulted in issuing a misdemeanor report against the person in charge of an edible oil bottling center without a license, for seizing 3 tons of edible oil of unknown origin without data or documents indicating its source. A misdemeanor report was also issued against the person responsible for an unlicensed food commodities store in the Basos district, for seizing 500 cartons of soft drinks, with a total of 6,000 650 ml containers of unknown origin and without invoices.

The campaign also resulted in issuing a misdemeanor report against the person in charge of a gas warehouse for closing it during official working hours without prior permission, and issuing a report of commercial fraud against the person in charge of a dairy products factory in the Barada district for producing cheese that does not conform to standard specifications, in addition to issuing 5 reports for various commercial activities (gas station – grocery store – supermarket – feed store) for not announcing prices.

Dr. Tamer Salah Mukhtar, Undersecretary of the Ministry, confirmed that the Directorate continues to implement its intensive monitoring campaigns around the clock, to control markets and firmly address any violations that affect the health and safety of citizens.
