The Beni Suef Center Supply Department launched an intensive campaign against municipal bakeries and commercial activities, in implementation of the instructions of Engineer Mohamed Abdel Rahman, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade, and under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Antar, Undersecretary of the Directorate, within the framework of tightening control over markets, responding to citizens’ complaints, and ensuring the quality of subsidized bread.

17 reports were issued for the violating bakeries and 21 packages of subsidized flour were seized during a ration campaign in Beni Suef.

The campaign came under the guidance of Sherif Al-Hamili, Director of the Beni Suef Center Supply Department, and resulted in the issuance of 17 various reports of violations, including the issuance of 5 reports for the production of underweight bread, and 3 reports for the disposal of 21 bags of fortified local flour weighing 50 kg, in addition to two reports for the production of bread that did not conform to specifications.

The results of the campaign also included the issuance of 6 reports for the lack of cleanliness of dough and kneading tools and tables, and one report for failure to announce operating dates.

The Supply Directorate confirmed the continuation of monitoring campaigns on a daily basis to control markets and address any violations, while taking the necessary legal measures against violators, in order to preserve the rights of citizens and ensure that support reaches those who deserve it.
