The Cardiac Catheterization Unit at Tahta General Hospital continued its intensive activity in providing advanced cardiac care to patients, within the framework of the directives of Dr. Amr Dowidar, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in the Governorate. SohagThe Health Directorate was keen to support specialized medical services in hospitals.

For his part, Dr. Ahmed Zaid, Director of Tahta General Hospital, explained that today 16 cardiac catheterization cases were successfully performed within the hospital’s catheterization unit, as part of the hospital’s efforts to quickly deal with critical cases and provide distinguished medical service to the people of the governorate.
He added that the cases included 10 therapeutic catheterization cases and 6 diagnostic catheterization cases, including two emergency cases coming from the Cardiac Intensive Care Department (CCU), which were dealt with immediately within the unit.
The procedures took place under the supervision of Dr. Moamen Lotfy, consultant cardiologist, with the participation of specialist doctors Dr. Amr Helmy, Dr. Imad Qassem, and Dr. Mina Morris, along with the deputy doctors, Dr. Munther Ahmed, and Dr. Ahmed Mustafa.
The team of radiology technicians and nursing staff in the catheterization unit also participated in implementing the cases, who played a prominent role in the success of the procedures and providing the necessary care to patients.
This performance reflects the efficiency of the medical team in the cardiac catheterization unit at Tahta General Hospital, and the hospital’s keenness to continue providing advanced medical services that contribute to quickly rescuing patients and improving the quality of health care provided to the people of Sohag Governorate.
