The Minister of Finance announced, Ahmed Kojak, A new financial incentive package aims to support teachers and school administrations, coinciding with the start of the new academic year, as part of the state’s efforts to improve the conditions of workers in the education sector.
The minister explained that the package includes disbursing an additional teaching incentive worth 1,000 pounds per month to teachers, in addition to an excellence incentive worth 2,000 pounds for distinguished school administration, which contributes to stimulating performance within schools and raising the efficiency of the educational process.
Increase teachers’ wages
Ahmed Kojak pointed out that the total cost of these incentives is estimated at about 14 billion pounds, stressing that this step comes in support of teachers and in appreciation of their essential role in building generations.
He stressed that the state continues to take measures that would improve the work environment for education workers, which will reflect positively on the level of educational service provided to students.
