The Directorate of Supply and Internal Trade in the Governorate LuxorIn cooperation with the Food Safety Authority and Supply Investigations, within the framework of strict control over markets and ensuring the delivery of safe food to the Egyptian consumer, we seized a large quantity of edible oils that are unfit for human consumption and in violation of standard specifications.

Dangers of recycled oil

The efforts of the inspection committees resulted in the seizure of 100 jerrycans of edible oil that were technically proven to be “reused.” These oils pose a serious threat to public health.

Repeated heating and recycling of oil leads to the formation of harmful chemical compounds that cause serious diseases for consumers.
