OnePlus has officially confirmed the launch of its new phone, OnePlus 15T, in China soon. The company excited its fans about the most prominent features of the awaited phone, as it revealed a distinctive design with thin and symmetrical screen edges in this pioneering and compact version, while publishing an image comparing it with competing devices to highlight how thin these edges are.
Before the official launch date, OnePlus continues to review the basic specifications of the new OnePlus 15T phone. Similar to the previous OnePlus 13T version, the device will be presented as a flagship phone with a compact size that is easy to use with one hand, as it comes with a 6.3-inch screen, and the company shared official images that focus specifically on the edges of this screen.
Li Jie Lewis, head of the OnePlus branch in China, revealed on the Chinese social media platform Weibo that the phone features symmetrical edges on all four sides with a thickness of 1.xx mm. He clearly indicated that the edges of the OnePlus 15T phone may be the optically thinnest among all small-screen phones currently available on the market.
The teaser campaign witnessed a comparison of the new phone’s screen with a device that appears to be Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro, as the edges of the OnePlus phone appeared thinner. To clarify, the Apple phone comes with a 6.3-inch screen and edges that are said to be 1.44 mm thick. OnePlus explained that achieving these thin edges was possible thanks to its screen production line, in addition to a new packaging process at the chip level and additional screen packaging technologies, while recent leaks indicate that the next generation OnePlus 16 will come with edges less than 1 mm.
The main leaked specifications of the OnePlus 15T phone include reliance on the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor from Qualcomm. The phone comes with a 7,000 mAh battery to ensure long periods of operation, in addition to a dual rear camera setup that features a 50-megapixel primary sensor to provide an excellent photography experience.
