OnePlus officially revealed the first look at its flagship compact phone, the OnePlus 15T, which is scheduled to be launched this March in the Chinese market. Contrary to previous leaks that expected a design based on a huge rectangular camera unit, the official images shared by the company showed a familiar design that is very similar to the standard version of the OnePlus 15 phone and the previous version, the OnePlus 13T.
The phone features a rear camera unit that comes with a design that combines a square and a circle, and includes a dual lens setup to provide a distinctive photography experience. The company reviewed two elegant color options, including brown and green, to meet the different tastes of users. Despite these teasers, the company has not yet confirmed the exact date of the official launch in China, nor has it released any information about plans to launch the phone in global markets.
Before the expected launch, the company was keen to reveal a set of basic details and specifications that the phone has. The device comes with a 6.3-inch flat screen with attractive rounded corners, and although there is no official confirmation yet, strong leaks indicate the possibility of this screen supporting a superior refresh rate of 165 Hz, in contrast to what the standard version of the series offers to ensure a very smooth user experience.
The new phone includes a periscope-type optical zoom lens that provides up to 3.5 times optical magnification to capture fine details from long distances. Despite the company’s secrecy about the type of processor used, the Geek Bench performance testing platform recently revealed that this powerful device runs on the advanced Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, ensuring exceptional performance commensurate with the category of leading and strongly competing phones.
To ensure the phone’s operation for long periods, this compact device is equipped with a huge 7,500 mAh battery, with support for 100-watt fast wired charging technology and 50-watt wireless charging. The phone’s durability is highlighted by its obtaining multiple protection certificates, including IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K standards for high efficiency water and dust resistance, in addition to its reliance on an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner to enhance security and speed.
