Tecno announced its new Camon 50 Ultra phone, which supports fifth generation networks. It comes with an elegant design and high durability thanks to its obtaining military certificates and a triple rating for resistance to external factors. This announcement came after the launch of the fourth generation versions of the Camon 50 and Camon 50 Pro phones, as the new version shares the same design and some specifications with its siblings to provide an integrated experience.

The phone features a 6.78-inch AMOLED curved screen with a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, with a Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection layer to provide maximum protection. The company confirms that the screen supports PorXDR technology for eye comfort, and the device runs on a Dimensity 7400 Ultra processor from MediaTek, and is available in two options, including 8 GB RAM or 12 GB RAM, with a storage space of 256 GB.

The Camon series maintains its distinguished reputation in the field of photography, as the phone offers a 50-megapixel primary rear camera with a LYT-700C sensor from Sony, with support for optical stabilization and a 1/1.56-inch sensor size. This camera comes with a 50-megapixel zoom lens that provides 3x optical zoom and up to 60x digital zoom, in addition to an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 50-megapixel front camera for taking selfies.

The phone received the MIL-STD-810 military certification, which ensures its durability in harsh conditions, in addition to a triple rating for water and dust resistance with standards of IP68, IP69, and IP69K. The device includes a fingerprint scanner integrated under the screen, and comes with a 6500 mAh battery that supports 45-watt fast charging to meet the needs of intense daily use.

The phone runs on the HiOS 16 interface, with a promise to provide three major updates to the operating system and five years of security updates to ensure stable performance. Users will also get 50 GB of cloud storage space for three years, and Tecno revealed some details of the price and availability, confirming that the phone will reach the markets in the distinctive orange color.
