The Instagram platform announced the addition of a new feature that allows users to edit comments after they are published, but within a specific time limit of only 15 minutes. After the expiration of this period, the user will not be able to make any modifications to the comment.
The feature allows only the text within the comment to be modified, while any other attached elements such as images cannot be changed. For example, if a comment contains text and an image, editing will be limited to the text and not the rest of the content.
On the other hand, Instagram does not impose a limit on the number of edits during a 15-minute period, which allows the user to edit the comment more than once. However, an Edited mark will appear next to edited comments to notify others that a change has occurred, but no history of previous edits can be viewed.
