Samsung has confirmed via a teaser on Amazon India that the Samsung Galaxy M17e 5G will be officially unveiled on Tuesday, March 17.

Although the company has not yet announced the final price or international availability, the phone is expected to be cheaper than the Galaxy A17, which retails for $179, due to the specifications being very similar to the Galaxy A07 5G.

Samsung indicated on its teaser website that the price will be less than 15,000, about $162. The phone will come in two colors, Blitz Blue (turquoise) and Vibe Violet (purple), and is characterized by a thickness of 8.2 mm and an IP54 certification, which provides protection against large dust and water splashes without being completely waterproof.

The phone will get six major Android system updates and six years of security updates.

The phone will feature a screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, with a resolution of 1,600 x 720 pixels, similar to that found in the Galaxy A07 5G. The 8-megapixel front camera comes inside a traditional notch, while the back includes a pill-shaped camera unit that contains a 50-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

The phone runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor with a manufacturing accuracy of 6 nm, and includes two Cortex-A76 cores for performance and six Cortex-A55 cores for efficiency.

A side fingerprint sensor makes it easy to unlock the phone safely. And thanks to a huge 6,000 mAh battery, it surpasses the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s battery in terms of capacity.
