Company communication Apple Working to develop the new generation of Siri voice assistant, despite the postponement of the launch of the “Personal Intelligence” feature, which is one of the most prominent components of the Apple Intelligence system, and which users have been anticipating since it was first announced.

Apple had revealed these technologies during the WWDC 2024 conference, before it began gradually rolling out some of its features through iOS 18 updates, while Siri’s advanced capabilities have remained outside the official versions until now.
A report by 9to5Mac stated that the company postponed the launch of the upgraded version of Siri since March 2025, before announcing in January 2026 its cooperation with Google to employ the Gemini model to enhance its capabilities.
Although these features were expected to be included in the iOS 26.4 update, they did not appear, indicating the possibility of them being introduced in later updates such as iOS 26.5 or even iOS 27.
These postponements reflect Apple’s endeavor to provide a more advanced experience, especially with regard to understanding context and interaction within applications, which are essential features in the artificial intelligence race between major companies.
As the pace of trial releases accelerates, expectations are increasing that some of Siri’s new capabilities will be included soon, which may pave the way for its official launch in the coming months, in a move that may strengthen Apple’s position in the global competition for artificial intelligence technologies.
