New leaks indicate that Apple’s Dynamic Island feature will continue in its upcoming phones, due to technical difficulties facing the company in moving the Face ID sensors below the screen.

Although previous reports spoke of Apple’s intention to get rid of the island completely and rely on a small hole for the camera only, recent information shows that the company has not yet reached this goal.

Instead, it is expected to reduce the size of the Dynamic Island while maintaining it in phones like the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.

This means that a full screen experience without any visible elements is still far from being achieved at the present time, at least according to these leaks, which remain unconfirmed until an official announcement is made.
