Anker has confirmed more details and technical specifications for its new Prime 250W Smart Desktop Charger Pro Plus. This advanced accessory, also known as Prime 250W GaN, is preparing to be officially launched in the Chinese market on March 9, to provide an improved charging experience that builds on the success of previous versions and meets users’ increasing energy needs.
The new charger comes with six various ports, matching the design of the previous generation of Anker Prime chargers. The official specifications revealed that the maximum power of each port remains identical to the original model, as it includes a USB-C port with a power of up to 140 watts, three USB-C ports with a power of 100 watts, in addition to two USB-A ports with a power of 22.5 watts to provide multiple connection options.
Despite this similarity in the basic ports, the new version is distinguished by its support for a much wider range of fast charging protocols to provide ideal compatibility with various devices. These advanced protocols include 140-watt PD3.1 technology, 100-watt PPS technology, in addition to support for 120-watt Xiaomi supercharging technology, and 66-watt Huawei fast charging technology.
This desk accessory has intelligent capabilities that enable it to accurately recognize the connected device and adjust the output power to perfectly suit it to ensure safe and fast charging. The company provided the charger with a built-in 2.26-inch LCD screen to display charging information while providing a clock mode. Users can also manage the device remotely, monitor the charging status, and switch between different operating modes via the official application. The charger comes with dimensions of 106 x 90 x 40 mm and weighs 640 grams.
It is not clear whether or when this desktop charger will be released in other global markets such as North America or Europe. The company is currently focusing on the Chinese market as a first step, while users around the world await any official announcements to expand the availability of this product, which combines tremendous power, compact design, and smart technologies.
