Polar is rolling out a new update, firmware version 5.1.3, for one of its smart watches. The February 2026 release is said to improve the wearable’s battery performance. Additionally, Ignite 3 users are also getting a speed-related bug fix and other minor changes with this stable update.

The Polar Ignite 3 smartwatch is receiving an update. Firmware version 5.1.3 is the second release for the wearable device to be released this year. This follows a major upgrade to Polar OS 5, which brought new alarm features, additional widgets and a pause summary view.

With firmware version 5.1.3, the Polar Ignite 3 is said to get improvements related to battery performance. Unfortunately, the company does not explain in detail, nor quantify the benefit of this change. The second line in the release notes states that Polar has fixed an issue that Ignite 3 users encountered when setting the speed unit to min/km. Resolved a bug that caused accelerometers to display incorrectly in training summary and pause mode. Furthermore, the update is said to bring other minor updates and bug fixes, though they are not listed. You can view the full release notes below.

Firmware version 5.1.3 is now available to all Polar Ignite 3 smartwatch users (currently priced at $319.93 on Amazon). Users can update their wearable devices either through the Flow mobile app or by connecting the device to the Flow Sync app on PC.
