Philips has launched its new Evnia 32M2N8900X gaming monitor to expand the options available to users. This step comes after the launch of the Evnia 27M2N5500XD version at the beginning of the year, which was distinguished by an IPS panel and a refresh rate of 540 Hz to compete with powerful screens such as the UltraGear OLED 27GX790B from LG, which is currently available at a price of 999 US dollars, as the new version aims to meet the aspirations of gamers looking for superior display quality.

The new screen relies on the third generation of QD-OLED panel technology to deliver exceptional performance. This version comes in a 32-inch size and supports 4K ultra-resolution with 3840 x 2160 pixels with an aspect ratio of 16:9 and a pixel density of approximately 140 pixels per inch. This amazing visual experience is completed with a 240 Hz refresh rate, 99.5% DCI-P3 color space coverage, and 100% sRGB color space coverage to ensure very accurate colors.

The new screen features a number of fundamental improvements over the previous version. These upgrades include the addition of a 3H anti-reflective coating and the adoption of the innovative RGB Q-Stripe sub-pixel layout, as well as a 20% increase in brightness in SDR mode to 300 nits for the entire panel, ensuring clear, eye-comfortable viewing even in well-lit gaming rooms or during prolonged use.

The screen’s performance increases significantly when HDR mode is activated to provide amazing contrast in dark and bright scenes. Peak brightness reaches 515 nits across 10% of the panel area and jumps to 1,000 nits in small areas that represent only 3% of the panel. These superior capabilities have enabled the screen to obtain the prestigious DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification to confirm its ability to display very deep blacks and fine details.

The screen includes three-sided Ambiglow lighting, 5-watt stereo speakers, and a built-in KVM switch for easy control. Philips provides comprehensive connectivity options that include DisplayPort 2.1 ports, HDMI 2.1 ports, USB Type-A ports, USB Type-B ports, and USB Type-C ports that support charging connected devices with a capacity of up to 65 watts. Philips has only launched this advanced screen within China until this moment, while details of prices and availability dates in global markets remain completely unknown.
