During the MWC2026 exhibition, Nubia officially unveiled the new Neo 5 series, a range of phones designed specifically for Gen Z and fans of competitive gaming on smartphones.
The series is led by the Neo 5 GT phone, which is unique in being the only device in its price category with a built-in internal cooling fan.
The company addresses the problem of thermal throttling through the “Cold-Core Trinity” system, which combines a 4nm MediaTek D7400 processor with an active cooling fan with a huge thermal dissipation area of 29,508 mm².
The system relies on a dedicated airflow channel that directs air directly towards the processor and battery, ensuring stable frame rates during intense gaming sessions. The experience is officially certified to support 120 frames per second in games such as Garena Free Fire and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.
Nubia enhances control accuracy by incorporating Neo Triggers 5.0 buttons with a response rate of 550 Hz to support four-finger gameplay, in addition to an instant touch response rate of 3049 Hz. The visual experience is based on a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen with 1.5K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate, with a maximum brightness of up to 4,500 nits.
To ensure long gaming sessions, the company provides the phone with a 6,210 mAh battery that supports 80-watt fast charging, in addition to Bypass Charging mode, which directly feeds the phone with energy without heating the battery.
The series also introduces the intelligent AI assistant Copilot Demi 2.0 within the AI Game Space 5.0 interface, which provides instant guidance during gameplay, automatic responses to conversations, and quick solutions to technical problems. Design-wise, the GT version adopts a completely flat back without protruding the camera to enhance stability during use, with customizable RGB lighting.
Nubia plans to launch the Neo 5 series in Southeast Asian markets during March, followed by a gradual global launch. The price of the Neo 5 GT starts at 399 euros, while the standard version of the Neo 5 is available at a price starting at 299 euros.
