The General Authority of Meteorology expected that Monday, March 23, 2026, will witness mixed weather across the country, with moderate to warm weather prevailing during the daylight hours, offset by a noticeable drop in temperatures at night, with the emergence of some weather phenomena that may affect visibility and traffic movement.
Expected temperatures
| Area | Great | Minor |
|---|---|---|
| Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt | 23 | 12 |
| Northern coasts | 19 | 12 |
| North Upper Egypt | 25 | 13 |
| South Upper Egypt | 32 | 17 |
Forecasts indicate chances of light to moderate rain in areas of northern Upper Egypt, Sinai, and the Gulf of Suez, with a weak possibility of light rain in Greater Cairo and southern Lower Egypt, with an incidence of up to 20%. Winds are also active in some areas, especially the Western Desert, South Upper Egypt, and the Red Sea, and may sometimes cause sand and dust.
Meteorological warnings
The Authority warned of the formation of dense water mist during the early morning hours, especially between four and nine in the morning, on agricultural and highway roads near bodies of water, which may lead to a decrease in horizontal visibility, calling on drivers to be careful while driving.
Volatile weather is expected to continue during this transitional period from winter to spring, with clear differences between temperatures during the day and at night, which requires wearing appropriate clothing, especially during the night and early morning hours.
