LG has finally confirmed the launch details of its highly anticipated UltraGear OLED 39GX950B gaming monitor, which is based on advanced Tandem OLED technology. This wonderful screen combines a panel that supports a display resolution of 5K2K with a brightness of up to 1500 nits and a refresh rate of 330 Hz when needed, to represent a very strong addition to the screen market and meet the aspirations of gaming enthusiasts looking for exceptional visual performance and an immersive gaming experience after a long wait.
This awaited announcement came after a long period of anticipation since LG revealed this screen for the first time during the month of December 2025. This screen appeared at that time alongside other screens such as the 27GM950B and 52G930B, with only the last screen receiving an official launch so far and it is currently available for sale at a price of $1,999 US, while the details of the new screen remained mysterious.

The new screen is close to being officially launched in global markets, as LG has listed this 39-inch model on its Canadian website. The ITHome technical website indicated that the screen will be sold in China at a price of 14,999 Chinese yuan, equivalent to about 2,179 US dollars, while the company’s branch in Japan confirmed that the screen will be officially available for purchase on April 9, without clarifying whether this date applies to the rest of the markets.
This screen features amazing display capabilities, as LG confirms that it will operate at a resolution of 5120 x 2160 pixels with a refresh rate of 165 Hz. The company’s Canadian website explains that the screen is capable of upgrading content to this high resolution without the need for intervention from the device connected via DisplayPort 2.1, HDMI 2.1, or USB Type-C ports, which automatically provides excellent image quality for various types of displayed content.
This 1500R curved screen provides great flexibility for gamers as it can double the refresh rate to 330 Hz by lowering the resolution to 2560 x 1080 pixels. These powerful specifications are complemented by the screen’s ability to deliver a brightness of 335 nits in standard content and up to 1,500 nits in HDR content, with excellent color coverage of 99% of the DCI-P3 color space to ensure vibrant colors.
