The AI-powered ThinkBook modular computer concept is one of the initial products Lenovo showed off at Mobile World Congress 2026. It is essentially a laptop with a 14-inch screen that supports accessories, including a secondary screen. Lenovo showed off a range of concept products at the conference, and the AI-powered ThinkBook is one of them. The computer does not have top-notch specifications, but that is not the primary goal of the product. Rather, its most notable feature is its modular design.
As Lenovo highlights, the modular design aims to offer a versatile laptop for users with different needs. The foundation is a system with a 14-inch screen that can be paired with various accessories. One of these accessories is a secondary display, allowing it to be converted into a dual-screen laptop similar to the Yoga Book 9i. The combined screen area can expand up to 19 inches in such a setup.
When not in dual mode, the detachable display can be used as a secondary side display, with a keyboard accessory and monitor unit installed on the standard computer. Speaking of which, the modular element of the keyboard has interchangeable modules, which allow users, for example, to switch between different input and output ports as needed.
Regarding the specifications, the computer runs internally with an Intel Core Ultra 7 255h processor. This Arrow Lake processor is coupled with 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of solid-state drive (PCIe SSD) storage space. Both the base display and secondary display have a 14-inch OLED panel with a resolution of 3840 x 2400 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a brightness rating of 500 nits.
There is a 33 watt-hour battery, and the standard laptop has a 2+2 Harman Kardon speaker setup with Dolby Atmos technology. While Lenovo is known for bringing entry-level products to the consumer market, there is no official information on whether the modular AI-powered ThinkBook will be available for purchase anytime soon.
