A new report revealed Apple’s plans to make major changes to Siri in iOS 27, expected to be announced on June 8, with the aim of expanding the capabilities of the voice assistant.

The report indicated Apple’s intention to open Siri to artificial intelligence services from third parties, so that it can work with more than one chatbot via built-in add-ons, provided that these services support integration.

Under this change, ChatGPT will no longer be the exclusive partner, as the user will be able to choose another AI service to direct queries to when Siri is unable to answer.

Apple also seeks to benefit from this trend through subscriptions within the App Store, instead of relying on exclusive partnerships as happened previously.
