Honor expanded its Magic 8 series of high-end phones by launching the Air version, which is similar in design and name to modern Apple phones.

The phone is available in four colors, including a striking orange that resembles the color of the iPhone 17 Pro, with a camera inspired by Apple’s design but with additional sensors on the side to give the phone a special identity.

Despite the similarity to the iPhone Air, the Magic 8 Pro Air offers much higher camera performance, as it has a large 1/1.3-inch main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 64MP periscope telephoto lens with optical stabilization and 3.2x optical zoom, providing better image quality and clearer details compared to the iPhone 17.

The phone is lightweight and compact, with a powerful battery and good GPU performance, and offers excellent value for the price, but it is likely to remain officially available in China only, with the possibility of importing at a starting price of around 700 euros.
