The leaks revealed new details about Apple’s upcoming plans in the field of artificial intelligence. The recent report explained that the upcoming updates to the operating systems, which include iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27, will include the launch of an independent application dedicated to the voice assistant Siri, equipped with a new and innovative feature called Add-ons to expand the capabilities of the smart assistant and meet the aspirations of users looking for a more interactive and intelligent experience in dealing with their daily devices.
This new application allows users of iPhones, iPads, and Mac computers to interact seamlessly with the smart assistant via voice commands or written texts to suit various circumstances. The application is distinguished by its ability to keep a history of conversations, giving users the opportunity to access their previous conversations with the smart assistant and review them with ease, which makes it work in a very similar way to leading and famous artificial intelligence applications such as the GPT chat application, the Gemini application, and the Cloud application to provide accurate and detailed answers.

The new additions feature allows additional external chat bots to be linked to enhance the system’s capabilities after the smart assistant began supporting the GPT chat application since the previous iOS 18.2 release. The precise details within the Settings application in an internal beta version of iOS 27 indicate that these additions allow agents from installed applications to work in an integrated manner with the Siri application, and the leaks confirmed that the App Store will include a dedicated section to serve as an integrated market for integrating external artificial intelligence features.
These accurate leaks confirm that Apple is conducting actual and extensive tests on the standalone Siri application before its official launch to users. It is still not clear yet whether this advanced application will be available on all iPhone models compatible with the iOS 27 system, or whether it will require the use of the iPhone 15 Pro or later versions that support Apple’s artificial intelligence features. The first beta version is expected to be launched for developers during next June before the general release in September.
The Siri voice assistant is undergoing a comprehensive overhaul and radical changes that go beyond just supporting external chatbots to provide a completely different user experience. Gorman expects that the smart assistant will get a new user interface, in addition to providing a dedicated button to ask the smart assistant throughout the system within Apple applications, and another button dedicated to writing with the help of artificial intelligence, which will be placed directly above the keyboard to facilitate quick access.
